The Palms?

Why did they decide to call their Mexican restaurant, Las Palmas?

perhaps the creators of "The Palms" were not Mexican at all, but ignorant white Americans who know nothing about Spanish. Oh commerce, why do you bring out the worst in people.

heh, when you look for the definition of "palmas" you have to scroll way down to see its relation to the tree. In the most common sense of the word, it means palms as in palms of your hands, which is really funny, BUT I have to give it to them that it is related to the tree in some way so I can't hate on them that much.
